A Cuban woman has gone viral on TikTok by sharing a video that reflects the reality and humor many islanders use to cope with daily challenges.

The young woman, identified as Zol Arias (@zol.arias), posted a video from Ciego de Ávila while enjoying a ride in a horse-drawn cart, one of the most common means of transportation in the interior of the island.

In the video, which has amassed hundreds of views, the young woman records her journey and accompanies the post with the caption:

"Without electricity but on horseback," followed by a laughing emoji, highlighting the resilience of Cubans in the face of the frequent power outages affecting the country.

The use of alternative transportation, such as carts, is common in many provinces of Cuba, especially in areas where access to fuel and electricity is limited.

This type of imagery often evokes nostalgia among Cubans living abroad, while for those who remain on the island, it serves as a reminder of the ingenuity and practical solutions that emerge in the face of adversity.
