Cubans are so resourceful that often they even laugh at their misfortunes and make the most of their daily struggles.
Digital creator Yoslyn Alemán and her mother have stolen the show on social media, particularly with the mother's antics from Cuba.
The son made a video call to his mother, and after his usual "what's up, how's it going," he was surprised by her response on the other end of the line.
"I’m here waiting for the parole or the CBP One," she replied very seriously, and her son, somewhat worried, retorted, "What parole, Mom? What parole or CBP One appointment? You don’t have parole and you can’t have an appointment for CBP One because you’re not in Mexico, you’re in Cuba."
The woman, as if she were completely right in the matter, clarifies: “Yes, I know I’m not in Mexico, I’m in Cuba, but here they now call the egg and the oil 'parole' and 'CBP One' because we’ve been waiting for months and they still haven’t arrived.”
"You always bring the latest," her son says, unable to contain his laughter, just like her followers.
“Laugh a lot, and you don’t even know what the oil said to the egg or the egg to the oil. The oil told the egg, ‘shell yourself and jump in; I’m hot.’ You know what the egg said, ‘you have to pay to see me,’” the lady adds while dancing to the phrase popularized by El Taiger.
