This intense seismic activity has raised concerns in the communities of eastern Cuba, which are located in the country's most seismically active region.

On the 29th, CENAIS had already recorded another perceptible earthquake in the province of Guantánamo, this time with a magnitude of 2.9, at a depth of 25 km, and with its epicenter located 25 km southwest of the municipality of Niceto Pérez.
