Daddy Yankee and Mireddys González reach an agreement in the first court hearing

Daddy Yankee and Mireddys González have reached an agreement in court regarding irregular transfers. The artist will regain control of his companies, and $75 million will remain untouched.

This Friday, the hearing took place for the lawsuit initiated by Daddy Yankee against his wife Mireddys González and her sister Ayeicha González, for making irregular transfers amounting to 100 million dollars from the bank accounts of El Cartel Records and Los Cangris to their personal accounts.

The reggaeton artist arrived at the courthouse accompanied by his son Jeremy, while Miredys was there with her daughter Jesaaelys. Although the press attempted to question the artist, his responses were cautious, always accompanied by a smile.

According to the local outlet El Vocero de Puerto Rico, Judge Anthony Cuevas Ramos sought harmony in this legal process out of respect for the nearly 30 years they were married: "Let's not add fuel to the fire. Let's see how we can resolve this matter concerning access to corporate information and find a more harmonious way to address the other part of the case... I believe we should look for ways to facilitate so that the parties can seek peace and resolve their differences in a less legalistic manner."

Amid a tense atmosphere where the parties presented their viewpoints through their legal representatives, they ultimately reached an agreement stipulating that Daddy Yankee will return to the presidency of the corporations Los Cangris and El Cartel Records, with the transition set to take place on December 26.

Furthermore, the agreement stipulates that $75 million in the corporations' accounts will remain untouchable, and the rest of the funds can be utilized as long as any transaction exceeding $100,000 requires approval from both parties.

The reggaeton artist also committed to providing a monthly report to Mireddys González on all matters related to the businesses.
