Lara Crofs on Bebeshito: "He has more pulling power than Díaz-Canel with his ridiculous marches."

"He has been the first Cuban reggaeton artist to fill a stadium all by himself and deliver a show that met the expectations of his audience."

Reactions continue to pour in regarding the massive concert by Cuban reggaeton artist Oniel Bebeshito this past Saturday at the Pitbull Stadium in Miami, where 20,000 attendees reveled in the show.

From Cuba, activist Yamilka Lafita (Lara Crofs) described the event as a home run "over third base with the bases loaded," and asserted that this month she has heard more talk about that concert than about the ration book.

Lara admitted that she doesn't know or listen to Bebeshito's music, but it makes her happy to see the success of Cubans and that 20,000 of them gather in a stadium to enjoy themselves, regardless of ideologies, religion, or any other divisive issues.

"Yesterday, this man demonstrated that he currently has more ability to rally people than Díaz-Canel, with his ridiculous marches of shame. And that is also an indicator of the very low acceptance the regime has," he noted on his Facebook wall.

The activist recalled that the Cuban community is divided between those who emigrated and those who are imprisoned, emphasizing that there is a single party responsible for this situation and urged her fellow countrymen to stop blaming each other.

"Here, no one is more or less patriotic for going to a show. Both those from here and those from there should stop. Especially those who position themselves 90 miles away as bastions of truth and commercial patriotism, while here you didn’t say a word. It’s not your place to tell others where they should or shouldn’t go," he emphasized.

Finally, Lara expressed that the success of a Cuban artist should be a source of pride, as the vast majority are merely young people chasing a dream that was denied to them in their homeland.

"He has been the first Cuban reggaeton artist to fill a stadium by himself and deliver a performance that met the expectations of his audience. For my part, I appreciate the emotional moment he dedicated to José Manuel Carvajal; I like that people respect each other and feel empathy and solidarity for their own," he commented.

"Last night, this kid won over his entire fanbase and told the gossipers, 'get off me, you weigh too much.' Congratulations, Cuban, you did it, and that’s really great," he concluded.
