The Cuban reggaeton artist Osmani García exploded again this Wednesday on social networks, where he threatened to take Dj Chino to court after his controversial statements about the authorship of the hitThe Taxi.
According to the performer, during the run-up to the Latin Billboard awards, Dj Chino alleged that Osmani had “stolen” the catchy song from him, which was later popularized by the Cuban-American rapper Pitbull.
"The music ofThe taxi “I made it with DJ Unic in the kitchen of my house!” said the artist, visibly upset. “You won a Grammy for me, for the chorus we made for you (along with Dayamí la Musa). We made you a chorus that took you off,” he said.
The musician warned that he would take the DJ to court for defamation and make them “look like thieves,” as well as that he would let the record label Sony Music know about what happened because “he has witnesses.”
“Pitbull had never mentioned you in my life! "Me and Dj Unic put you on the map," stressed Osmani, who commented that his wife Dayamí was "crying" after hearing Chino's statements.
The DJ would have stated before the press that the duo had stolen the authorship of the song and that, knowing this, they had gone to Cuba to recordThe taxi without your permission.
Dj Chino, known as IamChino, is Pitbull's official disc jockey. He is also its composer and music producer. Under this alliance, he has starred in songs such as “Ay mi Dios” and “Amor” alongside important figures of the genre such as Yandel, Wisin and El Chacal.
