Vatican City, Jan 2 (EFE).- The artists of the Cuban Circus This Wednesday they offered a colorful juggling show in the Vatican before Pope Francis, who encouraged them to continue "offering beauty to everyone" with their dances and acrobatics.
"I want to thank the artists of the Circus of Cuba. They bring beauty with their show. It requires a lot of effort to make it. We have seen a lot of training," he said the pontiff at the end of the show, which served to conclude the general audience.
Francis told the circus artists that "beauty always lifts the heart, it makes us all better."
"Beauty brings goodness to us and also to God. Continue like this, offering beauty to everyone," he encouraged the participants in the show, who took the opportunity to greet him and take photos with him.
The show took place in the Paul VI auditorium of the Vatican, also before the thousands of faithful who attended the audience, and featured the participation of around twenty artists from the Circus of Cuba, including acrobats and dancers dressed in colorful dresses.
Rope exercises, hoops and balls, juggling, balance and music with electronic and tropical rhythms animated the end of the audience.
And even the pontiff himself got involved, when one of the artists rolled a ball on his finger.
It is not the first time that the National Circus of Cuba, on tour in Italy, arrives at the Vatican, where it held an exhibition before the pontiff in December 2017.
