With a 3-0 success over Antigua and Barbuda, Cuba remained second in group C in the CONCACAF knockout phase, based in Florida, United States, qualifying for the U-20 Soccer World Cup, Poland 2019.

Geobel Pérez scored a double in the 23rd and 77th minutes, while Christian Flores added his own in the 38th minute to complete the win.

Cuba thus achieved its third success in the World Cup, after beating Belize 6-1 and the Dominican Republic 2-1.

Unfortunately, the Cubans suffered a single 1-3 defeat against Honduras, which has a perfect record of 4 wins in the same number of games, and it will be difficult for them to lose in their last remaining match.

Group C of the qualifying round, like the rest, barely gives a place for the final hexagonal, which in turn will distribute 4 World Cup passports.

The Cubans will play their last duel in the group against the weakest in the group, Sint Maarten, this Friday.

To qualify, Cuba must wait for a defeat by Honduras in its last match, and a favorable score in the goal count.
