Fashion shows begin at the Cuba Pavilion

The Cuba Pavilion, in Vedado, hosts until this Sunday theFashion Week, considered the most important fashion and design event on the Island.

Exhibitions of clothing, footwear and accessories, made by 72 national and three foreign creators, are shown in this fourth edition of the meeting, dedicated to the 500 years of Havana and the 40 years of the creation of the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets.

48 shows are planned, including some with special themes such as children's fashion, swimsuits, wedding dresses, caftans, men's clothing and several focused on jewelry and leather goods.

Although these events make the Cuban public aware of the latest fashion trends, and are a stage where the work of local designers is recognized, many criticize thatThe clothes shown have unattainable prices for the common citizen; Furthermore, potential buyers do not know where to buy them once the meeting is over, and there are no specialized publications dedicated to clothing guidance.
