User Dania Virgen García published a video on the social network Facebook where you can see several empty and ruined houses, which could be given to homeless people on the Island.

The images were taken in Boca Ciega and Guanabo, east of Havana, and you can see the number of abandoned homes that are disused.

According to García, who is an independent journalist, there are more than 100 houses that have been in existence for years, some abandoned by their owners who left the country and others that belong to the government.

"More than 100 homes are in deplorable condition, but they can be repaired with their own efforts if they are handed over to needy families, sheltered who have been living in a critical situation for more than 20 years," García said.

However, the Government clarified that the homes "cannot be given to the population because they are later sold to foreigners."

Another of the abandoned districts in Cuba is Tarará, also located in Eastern Havana. What was once a place for enjoyment full of tourist options and offers for visitors, today is a place in ruins.
