Cuban right-winger Rogelio Armenteros will return to the Dominican Winter League with the Gigantes del Cibao, according to the team's announcement on their social networks.

The native of the capital, who finally debuted this season in the Major Leagues with the Houston Astros, will reinforce the Giants' rotation in a baseball of vast quality that he already knows.

Armenteros, 25 years old, had a 1-1 record, 4.00 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 18 innings in his Major League debut, even though he did not receive the expected opportunities in MLB with Houston. Of five starts, two were starts.

The Cibao Giants know that they have a valuable arm in Armenteros.

In 2018, the Cuban shot 2-0, 1.17 ERA, 22 strikeouts in 23 innings and 0.70 WHIP (on-base per inning average).
