Cuban prospect Oscar Luis Colás was in a presentation this morning with the Houston Astros in the Dominican Republic.

Considered by many scouts as "Cuban Ohtani", Luis Colás hit several balls and without going too far left signs of what could be in the future a hitter valued above 3 million dollars in the international talent market.

More than 20 Major League organizations are pursuing him, although he has not yet been declared a free agent by the Commissioner's Office.

According to the blog Cuban ball, Colás denied having signed a contract with Fukuoka SoftBank for 2020, so his status as a restricted player in Japan may not affect his application to be eligible to sign with any MLB organization.

The Santiago native left Cuba on January 2 in search of the Major Leagues, after serving in Fukuoka since 2017 and reaching the Japanese Major Leagues in 2019.
