"To this dictatorship I say, as I did on July 11:They have just handed over power, let the imported fear cease and then implanted this communism in our town, in our beautiful island," he said.

In the text, which García Lorenzo's sister shared on Facebook, the young man's commitment to the cause that keeps him behind bars and for whichHe will be judged this Monday.

"I reiterate my confirmation and commitment to this cause, I am still in position and ideals are not negotiated, so I will remain firm despite what I have to face," he added.
