The Spanish consulate in Havana reported this Tuesday that at its headquarters on Velasco Street there are almost 3,000 passports of people who have been granted citizenship that have not been collected.
In a post on its Twitter account, the office called on holders to look for their identity documents.
"If you are from the capital or live nearby, please come pick it up," he demanded.
The diplomatic representation announced that it is preparing a new shipment to other provinces for the end of March.
"Schedules on our website," he added.
Last Friday onSpanish consulate in Cuba canceled all appointments for the issuance of passports due to a technical failure in the Lonja building, in the capital.
"We will reschedule appointments. Please do not go to the offices," said the message spread on social networks.
On Wednesday, the government ofSpain once again extended the restrictions on non-essential travel until March 31 from third countries, which include Cuba, to the European Union.
The Spanish Ministry of the Interior announced the measure through an update of order INT/657/2020, which establishes the list of countries that are not affected by the temporary restriction on non-essential travel.
While the administrative measure is in force or Cuba is excluded from the list of countries that have restricted entry to Europe, short-stay, tourist or business visas will not be processed.
