The government of Spain will extend the nationality application period through theDemocratic Memory Law, popularly known as the"Grandchildren Law" until 2025, giving more time to descendants of exiles to obtain Spanish nationality.
The ministerAngel Victor Torres Perez, at the head of the Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory portfolio of Spain, confirmed the extension of the period for descendants of Spanish exiles to obtain citizenship of this European country.
