Houston authorities decided to temporarily close the Caney Creek High School due to an unbearable smell that no one knows where it comes from and has persisted for at least two days.

The smell is so intense that this Thursday there were 14 students who said they felt physically ill and six of them were hospitalized, in stable condition, according to what was indicated.Telemundo51.

The smell started on Wednesday and classes were interrupted, but on Thursday it happened again and they had to evacuate the campus. During this Friday the educational center will remain closed while the origin of the mysterious and unpleasant smell is investigated.

Firefighters and hazardous materials teams were mobilized to the scene. Specialists have searched the area but still do not know what it is. They ruled out a gas leak, and there are no drainage problems either.

TheCaney Creek Fire Department Consider this could be a bad joke. The authorities are seeking to rule out the hypothesis that someone sprayed some type of aerosol, and are investigating other possible causes.

In 2018 a“Strange smell” caused the emergency landing of a plane heading to Fort Lauderdale.

The plane belonged to the low-cost airline Spirit Airlines and was headed from New York to Fort Lauderdale. An emergency landing in South Carolina was necessary due to a “strange smell” in a section of the aircraft.
