A 10-year-old boy, son of aschizophrenic woman is going through a delicate situation in Havana, as reported on social networks by blogger Dianelys T. Hernández, administrator of the websiteFacebook Impacts from the heart.

“The minor's mother is diagnosed with acute schizophrenia and other serious mental disorders, she walks the streets with the child, and she even carries this little angel without shoes on the pavement in these temperatures [...] He barely goes to school, he doesn't care food, he doesn't let the neighbors approach the child to give him a plate of food either," the source explained.

The complainant assures that the mother makes the child eat directly from the garbage tanks on the corners, that the minor is severely malnourished and that he has already fainted several times.

“The neighbors have reported this case so much that they fear the child will die,” warned Hernández, who identified the minor's mother as Sandra Gutiérrez, resident on Carballo Street No. 33 Apt 1 interior between Cruz del Padre and Consejero Arango, in the Cerro municipality of Havana.

"I do not understand what role the representative institutions of the State, the delegates of the area, Health are playing," wrote Dianelys, who specified that the aforementioned is a case similar to that of the girl Yuriana, who, thanks to going viral on social networks, was treated by The authorities.

The complainant took the opportunity to question why the government waits for cases to go viral to intervene.

"If they cannot represent their positions well, then ask for their resignation and let people who have the interest and the ability do what you do not know how to do, because they discredit everything [...] How can you turn your face the other way? "questioned the woman, who recalled that those in charge of such cases receive a salary paid by the State.

"This case has already been reported many times. I was a neighbor of hers and she has had the child like this since she was little. The girl was able to be rescued, but this baby was not. I don't know what's happening, really. I hope that with this publication they will take pity and they can solve it," wrote a Cuban identified as Lili Núñez from the United States.

The serious shortage of medicines for patients with psychiatric disorders in the last two years has increased the number of social cases similar to the one described.

Less than a month ago, Yuriana's case went viral, after an Internet user reported having witnesseda sad scenein the Havana neighborhood of El Vedado, when a mother was walking, leaving behind an eight-year-old girl who was screaming at her in despair. The author of the publication stated that both were wandering the streets collecting things and without food.

Days later it was learned that the little girl resided in the Havana municipality of Regla, with her mother and grandmother, who suffer from mental illness. In an update on that case, a netizen stated that the family would receive medical attention and thatYuriana had already started going to school.

Also in recent days, Cuban doctor Alexander Figueredo shared on social networks a moving video that showed three children who were on the street in the city of Matanzas in a situation of total abandonment, dirty and malnourished. Then, The minors were in the company of their mother, diagnosed with “mental retardation” and pregnant, according to the person who filmed and sent the harsh images to Dr. Figueredo.
