Ana Hernández, acubanamerican Identified on social networks as “Ana LQbana” asked for help to locate her father on the island, whom she knows only by name, as she says that her mother was pregnant when she left the country in 1966.
“It was only [a few] years ago that I discovered the truth about who my real father is, it isArmando Ruiz Regueira. My mother Caridad [Aguiar Renovales] and 'Armandito', as she called him, were dating in Cuba. My Mother left the country in 1966 when she was pregnant (with me). I was born in the USAMy father Armando Ruiz stayed in Cuba and we never met. I don't know if he still lives there or in another country“Ana explained in aFacebook group in which he asked for help.
Hernández shared some photos of what her mother looked like around the time she was dating Armando.
Ana specified that her father lived near Ayesterán Street, in Havana, in the years 1965-1966.He says that Armandito He was born in 1948 or 1949, which implies that he could be alive and about 73 years old or so.
Ana LQubana says that she would like to have more information that she could provide to find her father - such as a birthday or a postal address in Havana - but she assures that she lacks any other details other than that Armandito was about 17 years old when he was his mother's boyfriend and lived in Ayestarán, in the Cerro municipality, at the aforementioned time.
Ana says she has never visited Cuba and hopes to do so one day. She says that her mother, who has since passed away, spoke to her many times about how beautiful Cuba was and says that they talked about returning to the island together one day.
“I know this is going to take a miracle. “I am praying for the guidance of God, my ancestors, the saints and the community of Cuba to help me find my father,” wrote the woman, who posted in the Facebook group"Cubans around the world".
In the final part of her unique story, Ana LQbana wrote a small message addressed directly to her father.
“Armandito, you have a daughter who is looking for you from the United States. I'm sorry it took me so long to get the courage to start this journey. I hope to find you, Armandito. I am taking all possible measures. I pray that you are in good health and that we meet. "I have faith in God!" he concluded.
The unique story generated dozens of comments wishing Ana LQbana luck in her search.
In statements afterCyberCuba, Ana Hernández specified that "for reasons that she wanted to reserve" she was not able to look for her father sooner.
She assures that she has already tried to look for him in Cuba, but to no avail, which makes her think that it could be "that he emigrated to another country."
Regarding his father's physical features, he says that he only knows that he was white and light-eyed, but he has no more details. Ana finally specified that in Cuba her mother lived on Ayesterán and Emilio Núñez streets.
"I am grateful to anyone who can help me by understanding this. My wish is to find my father, whom I never met," he concluded.
