After computing the results of the VII U-12 World Cup, Cuba was relegatedfrom seventh to eighth place in itmen's world baseball ranking prepared by the World Baseball and Softball Confederation (WBSC).
The Greater Antilleslost 263 units and was displaced in the ranking by Holland, which reached 3,187 points and clearly surpassed Cuba's 2,880.
The three top positions retained their occupants (Japan with 5,274 lines, the United States with 4,654 and Mexico with 4,226), while South Korea (4,025) displaced Chinese Taipei (3,991) from fourth position.
The sixth place remained in the hands of Venezuela (3744).
However, Cuba still has the consolation thatpersists in the qualification zone for the 2023 edition of the Premier 12, something that, for example, Puerto Rico cannot boast, which fell in the thirteenth place.
The remaining countries with a place for the aforementioned tournament are Australia (2,576), Dominican Republic (2,482), Panama (2,196) and Italy (1,969).
Let us remember that in the Premier 12 of 2019, Cuba was eliminated at the first opportunity after receiving losses at the hands of Canada and South Korea and achieving a solitary victory in extra innings against Australia.
The WBSC site made it known thatThe Women's Baseball World Ranking will be updated after the World Cup to be held next September.
