Three arrested after kidnapping in Miami

Three people were arrested and accused of the kidnapping of a 33-year-old man, who was rescued thanks to the complaint of an employee of a McDonalds in the city of Sweetwater, in Miami-Dade County.

The three detainees are named Cristina Arrojo, Marcelo Asenjo García and Nigel Burkes.

Both the victim and two of the captors lived together in the same residence and it all started with an argument over the alleged theft of a credit card, as revealedAmerica Camel citing the police report as a source.

According to investigators, shortly after 5:00 p.m. On Thursday, the victim was found in a Walmart parking lot located on 92nd Avenue and Flagler Street with her roommate,who accused him of having stolen a credit card.

While he was talking to the woman, another man came, attacked him and then forced him into a truck and took him to another location.

Although the victim - identified as Amir Dalit Akbarnia - denied having knowledge of the alleged credit card, those involved took him to his father's residence, where no one opened the door, and later they went to a restaurant. McDonalds located at 105th place and West Flagler.

Once at the fast food establishment, The victim alerted one of the employees and told her that he had been kidnapped.

The employee, not knowing what was happening, immediately called 911 and Sweetwater police.

Upon realizing that the kidnapped had reported them, the captors "bit the victim, stole his phone and fled in a truck," according to county police spokesman Alvaro Zabaleta.

A few blocks from the scene - on Sixth Street and Southwest 97th Avenue - the police managed to arrest Cristina Arrojo, Marcelo Asenjo García and Nigel Burkes.

Although Burkes was not involved in the case, he got into the truck with those involved and had a bag of methamphetamines with him.

The victim did not suffer any major injuries.

Cristina Arrojo, 29, appeared in Miami-Dade criminal court accused of kidnapping, where she was denied bail.

Marcelo Asenjo García, 52, also faces kidnapping charges, while Nigel Burkes, 35, was charged with drug possession.

Until the closing of this note, the nationality of origin of the two Hispanics directly involved in the kidnapping was not revealed.
