"There is talent, we just lack ears to listen to it," the Cuban singer began the post, where she shared a video of her interpretation of "Unicornio" by Silvio Rodríguez.
"Cuban music has always been one of the best in the world. We are letting it die, to give way to mediocrity and bad taste," he closed the post where he mentioned several Cuban artists with recognized and international careers such as Gloria Estefan, Aymée Nuviola or Lucrecia.
The performance, which took place in his usual meeting with his fans on Tuesdays on Tik Tok, provoked praise from his most followers: "Beautiful. Tremendous voice. I love it. Blessings"; "what a nice Spectacular version"; "My Maydy, you can sing whatever you want with that magnificent voice," they commented on both Instagram and TikTok.
"Brava!" Lucrecia herself reacted.
Maydy's latest release, "Take care of my heart", continues to triumph on digital platforms. On YouTube, two weeks after the official video clip was released, it has already exceeded 155 thousand views.
