The family of a young Cuban missing in Mayabeque is desperate: "I am offering a reward"

A cousin of the young man residing outside the country has been willing to give a reward to anyone who offers accurate information about the whereabouts of her relative.

Relatives of Leudis Rodríguez Marrero, who disappeared since March 1 in the Nueva Paz municipality, in the Mayabeque province, are desperate and a cousin has promised a reward to anyone who offers accurate information about Rodríguez Marrero's whereabouts, although she did not specify the amount of money.

“I am offering a reward to anyone who helps us find his whereabouts. “This is serious, please, this is a human being and an impeccable boy.”wrote on Facebook, Kateryn Sánchez, a cousin of Leudis living outside the country who has been actively posting on social networks in recent days in search of help.

“He is my cousin, andstill missing. Both I and her parents, aunts, uncles, brother, other cousins, childhood friends and acquaintances are all worried to the point of having everything around us on pause right now,” added the young woman, who reiterated that her family member was last seen in the Nueva Paz area, where he worked the field.

In another more recent postSánchez expressed concern about the changing versions of those around his relative about the last time they saw him.

“My cousin is still missing and those around him are changing their version every half hour of the last time they saw him and what he did. Please continue to share that no one disappears from one moment to the next and even less so in Cuba, where everyone sees everything,” wrote the young woman, who has distributed the telephone numbers 813 300 0052 and 813 724 8387 for anyone who has any information.

A native of Santiago de Cuba and a resident of the town of El Cristo, specifically on the road to Las Minas, Leudis Rodríguez Marrero has been defined by the communicator Cuscó Tarradell as "a true Santianguero".

Nevertheless,The young man was in Nueva Paz because there he worked on the farm of Mr. Alejandro Sepúlveda Vega, who reported his disappearance to those close to him when he noticed his absence from work, an event that had never happened.

“The land where Rodríguez Marrero worked is located in Nueva Paz, in the old Campeche Camp, today Finca 'El Peniche'. Since his disappearance, his cell phone has been turned off to any calls."said Tarradell, who echoed the request for help.

The young man has been described by his family and friends "as a quiet, calm, hard-working young man who did not reveal personal problems."

Reports of disappearances of Cubans have become more frequent in recent months, as well as the publication of requests for help through social networks to obtain information, in the midst of a context of growing violence in the country.

Much more recent is the disappearance ofLali Paola Moliner, a three-year-old Cuban girl residing in the Bahía neighborhood, in the Habana del Este municipality, who has been missing since Sunday, March 3. In that case, the minor was last seen in the company of her mother, whose body was found on March 4 on the coast of Cojímar.

AlsoA 17-year-old girl and her baby are missing, both residents of the Holguín town of Guaro, in Mayarí.
