Cuban mother denounces that she slept on the street with her children: "The father denied us entry to his house"

A Cuban mother reported that she slept on the street with her children because the children's father, from whom she is separated, denied them entry to his house.

According to him, the father of the minors, whom he identified asJavier Bertrán Martínez, he did not open the door to them and the authorities have not done anything to locate him either.

"He simply doesn't let the children and I enter the house where they were born. The only roof that the children and I have. How can some children be allowed to live on the street, when they have an address on their identity card?" "When they lived in that house since they were born..." he questioned.

Gina said that after marrying Javier, she lived in that house for eight years. He shared his case in the group ofFacebook "Cuban mothers for a better world," although she did not clarify whether she and her ex are legally divorced or just separated, or why she does not have keys to the home.

"The authorities have done nothing. How is it possible that a mother and her children are on the street and in an extreme situation and the children and their shelter are not protected and prioritized. I really hope that the children's rights to freedom are prioritized. to live under a roof. And to not be separated from their mother. I really hope that today and tonight will be the last that I and my children are on the street," he said.
