Members of the Cuban exile in Miami carried out a "walk for freedom" that took place along 8th Street from 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 24.
The initiative is part of the expressions of solidarity with the Cuban protesters who took to the streets last weekend toprotest against the regime in provinces like Santiago de Cuba, GranmaandMatanzas.
“In Miami, several generations of Cubans today join the support of those who took to the streets on March 17,” the journalist and founder of the digital portal wrote on the social networkYucabyte Norges Rodríguez.
According to the television networkTelemundo Among those attending were relatives of some of those arrested in the massive demonstrations of July 2021.
In the shared images you can see a son ofLoreto Hernandez Garcia and his wifeDonaida Pérez Paseiro, asking for the freedom of his parents.
Loreto is vice president of the Association of Free Yorubas of Cuba and was sentenced to seven years in prison and his wife to eight.
The walk was called on March 20 from the Prisoner's House in Miami by the Assembly of the Cuban Resistance.
