The popular sports narrator Ángel Andrés Hernández Vargas, known as Andy Vargas arrived in the United States thanks to the family reunification program.
Andy, representative voice of the COCO station in Havana, where he worked for more than three decades, was claimed by one of his two children who resides in Miami.
According to the sports journalist Yasel Porto, the charismatic commentator retired last year.
"Iconic figure of COCO and especially of the Industriales team," Porto defined him on his wall of Facebook.
"He has been the narrator who was linked to the Lions of the Cuban capital the longest, and was part of the titles of 1996, 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2010," he explained.
