Secretary of the Communist Party scolds leaders in Las Tunas: "Everything is being violated"

The leader intervened during a meeting of the Government Council of Las Tunas.

The recently appointed secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in Las Tunas, Walter Simón Noris, scolded the officials of that province, indicating to them that in that territory "everything is being violated."

"People have to understand that plans are sacred, and plans are meant to be fulfilled," said Simón Noris during a Government Council meeting in which he admonished for non-compliance in the province.

In a report by the local television station Tunas Visión, it was stated that Las Tunas "is an agricultural and sugarcane-producing province, so the foundation of the entire economy here is built around that system, and thus, we are failing in all aspects of agriculture."

The leader listed that recruitment, marketing, meat production, milk, planting, various crops are being breached, "all of that is being violated, so how are we going to progress in this province?" he questioned.

Likewise, it meant that he requested an analysis of the breaches from his direct subordinates.

"Do you know what it's like when people don't fulfill their responsibilities and nothing happens?" he pointed out, referring to the role of leaders in management.

He also pointed to those who manage production bases, stating that "sometimes they do not know how to respond" about their own failures.

Simón Noris arrived to lead the Party in Las Tunas just over a month ago, coming from the executive bureau at the same level but in Camagüey.

The Cuban government appointed him to replace Manuel René Pérez Gallego, who had been in the position since June 2019.
