Daniela Reyes: "The Cuba of my dreams is one where we don't feel the need to emigrate."

Like many Cubans, Daniela Reyes has experienced firsthand the need to seek better opportunities and living conditions outside her country.

In a recent interview for Fonoma Talks, the influencer was asked about the Cuba of her dreams, and her response could easily resonate with many young Cubans.

"The Cuba of my dreams is a Cuba where Cubans don’t feel the need to emigrate to achieve our goals and succeed," said the influencer.

For Daniela, the Cuba of her dreams is a place where everyone can meet their needs: “A Cuba that respects and prioritizes the needs of Cubans.”

However, the Cuban YouTuber is aware that that aspiration is far from the reality currently experienced on the island.

"The Cuba of my dreams is a new Cuba, and I hope to live to see it," he added in the interview.

A few weeks ago, Daniela had just arrived on the island from Cancun, only to be greeted by a power outage lasting 10 hours. "It's very sad what is happening in my country," she stated at that time.
