The warnings for flash floods in Miami continue.

Users on social media have shared photos and videos of cars struggling to drive under the heavy rainfall.

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Miami and South Florida maintains flash flood warnings in the city.

The agency reported on its Twitter account a new flash flood warning that includes Miami, Hialeah, and Miami Beach, valid until 4:15 PM EDT.

"Sudden floods continue in much of southern Broward and northern Miami-Dade! A significant flash flood warning is in effect until 4:00 pm," announced in another tweet.

Users on social media have shared photos and videos of cars struggling to circulate under the heavy rainfall.

"Starting to flood...", wrote internet user MistyJernigan17, a resident in the area.

Previously, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) indicated that there is a trough over the eastern Gulf of Mexico and it is expected to bring heavy rains to Florida.

In Miami, in Downtown, Brickell, and Hialeah, the sidewalks and roads were flooded since Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities warn that there is a low probability of a tropical depression forming off the southeastern coast of the United States, but it is necessary to remain vigilant until the end of this week.

It is expected that rainfall will increase in the next few hours near the Gulf coast from Wednesday night until the end of the week. There is a risk of localized flooding, especially in low-lying areas along the east and Gulf coasts, as well as in flood-prone areas or areas with drainage issues.

The detected system has remained practically stationary in the last few hours, but it is expected to move towards the northeast, crossing Florida and moving towards the southeast coast of the country.

Although the winds at upper levels are only marginally favorable, some slow development is possible as the system moves further out to sea.

Regardless of its development, heavy rains are forecasted to continue in parts of the Florida peninsula over the next few days.

The authorities recommend that residents stay informed about the weather conditions and take necessary precautions to prevent incidents related to floods.
