The story of Yeiko, the dog who touched the hearts of animal lovers after being victim to a brutal machete attack, has added a new page of inspiration by appearing without the Elizabethan collar that he had been wearing, once again demonstrating his incredible recovery.

The ARCA Sancti Spíritus Foundation shared a photograph on Facebook this Wednesday that showcases the remarkable recovery of the dog, who appears fully upright, active, and without the recovery cone that was placed around his neck following his surgery last May.

"Beautiful, my boy, he was without his Elizabethan collar for a while today, and his owner sent this photo. Yeiko looks lovely, doesn’t he? He's such a sweetheart," the post on the social media said.

This image reveals the deep joy felt by animal advocates in the province of Sancti Spíritus with every progress made in Yeiko's recovery.

The publication was widely celebrated by animal advocates, who praised Yeiko's remarkable recovery. They also highlighted the tireless efforts of the rescuers who saved his life and the unconditional love he receives from his family.

Recently, the ARCA Sancti Spíritus Foundation shared a reel on Facebook in which Yeiko can be seen barking at the street. This image serves as further proof of his remarkable recovery, particularly significant considering that the dog lost an eye after the brutal attack.

In the video, the dog peeks out the doorway and barks at something that catches its attention in the street. In the background, a woman's voice can be heard saying, "Where is he going? He's just making noise."

Recently, another heartbreaking story circulated on social media when an animal shelter in the province of Villa Clara requested assistance last Sunday for a little dog that suffered a spinal fracture.

"You deserve all the beauty in this world, my Milagros," stated Daime Pérez Ramírez in the Facebook group Society for the Protection of Animals in Cuba, while requesting help with diapers, Desitin cream, wet wipes, and any contributions for the recovery of the little dog.
