Dayana Riverón, the Cuban teenager who made it to the semifinals of the La Voz Kids competition in Spain, showed her roots on Tuesday by singing a salsa version of the famous song "Flor Pálida" by Polo Montañez.
"I would like to share with you a little bit of my version singing 'Flor Pálida' in the style of Marc Anthony, being its author Polo Montañez," said the Cuban resident in Gran Canaria, Spain, who in her journey through the contest has interpreted several musical genres on Instagram.
"Salsa is something that I carry in my blood, and I would like for people to hear me in a different genre. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do," pointed out the young woman, who has demonstrated possessing a deep and profound voice since the blind auditions on The Voice Kids, making her stand out among the other participants.
On her Instagram, Riverón has shared several videos where she can be seen interpreting international songs from various genres.
Recently, the teenager dazzled with the song "Basta ya" by the composer Marco Antonio Solís, popularized worldwide by Olga Tañón.
“This is a song that I like very much,” confessed young Riverón on Instagram, as she is seen singing with the same confidence and feeling.
Also, in recent days, the young woman confessed that she had a predilection for rancheras.
"Today I have dared to return once again to the mariachi genre that I love so much," wrote the 14-year-old on Instagram, where she shared a video of herself performing the song "Si nos dejan" by the composer José Alfredo Jiménez.
