Cubans on social media identified the young woman who died on Tuesday morning in Havana when the electric motorcycle she was on collided with a Yutong bus at the intersection of Boyeros and Tulipán, in front of the Ministry of Transportation.
The deceased was named Anaisa and lived in Párraga, a neighborhood in the Arroyo Naranjo municipality. According to reports on the Internet, her partner, who was driving the motorcycle, is named Eduardo and is out of danger.
Several people shared messages of condolences on the Internet for the tragic passing of the woman, who was a mother to a daughter.
"My life, why is life so unfair, you were a great person and everyone who knew you knows what I am talking about. I have a lump in my throat, I was always proud to have a friend and coworker as good as you. I feel very very bad, my God. R.I.P., Anaisa," expressed Claudia Samón on her Facebook.
RIP, Anaisa. You were my nurse when I was pregnant and you were a great person, very kind and a close friend of my sister Anisley Pérez, who today grieves your departure with a deep pain in her soul. May God place you in the best place possible, and a speedy recovery for the husband who is in critical condition," wished Facebook user Ľâ Bbšîťâ Måřbė.
Witnesses to the accident stated that the young girl was trapped practically under the bus and died instantly, while her husband sustained serious injuries.
Several Internet users claimed that the bus is from Cienfuegos.
So far, the causes of the accident are unknown, although some indicate that the motorcycle tried to overtake the bus and it could not avoid hitting them.
