The driver of the tourist vehicle is in serious condition and was immediately taken to the hospital in Santa Clara.
Fortunately, there were no fatalities reported in the accident. The passengers who were traveling in the mechanical service car, who had been picked up at the transportation point at kilometer 270, suffered some minor injuries. The driver of the mechanical service did not sustain any injuries.
According to some internet users, it is presumed that the accident was caused by the explosion of one of the front tires of the tourist vehicle, which led the driver to lose control of it and invade the other lane.
