The young Cuban Leidy (@leidy.aragon), who has a cleaning business in the United States and has inspired many online with her story of overcoming challenges as a single mother entrepreneur, shared an anecdote on TikTok about something that happened to her with a client in a house.
"Don't make this mistake," she starts in the video where she recounted an embarrassing situation she experienced while working in a house.
"Never talk at home about your clients, the client never told me that she spoke Spanish and guess what happened, what happened was that I felt ashamed, the biggest embarrassment of my life," she said in her testimony where she recounted that while she was cleaning alongside a colleague, the colleague made a derogatory comment about the filthiness of the house, without knowing that the owner understood Spanish perfectly.
"The lady was not upset or anything, but she told me 'if I called you, it's because my house is dirty, it's messy, and I need a cleaning because that's what I'm paying you for,'" Leidy continued her story, in which she confessed to feeling very embarrassed by the incident.
"It was so that it wouldn't happen to you. Don't talk about clients at home. However, over time one is going to learn to value work, one is going to learn professional ethics (...) these are things that one will learn along the way," he emphasized in his account.
In the comments, many expressed their thanks for the recommendation, and others shared similar experiences: "That's why I lost my job, for talking too much"; "Even if they don't speak Spanish, we shouldn't speak badly of those who give us the opportunity to work, the lady reacted very well"; "There's no point in calling them while the house is clean, but you learn from everything"; "Besides, there are cameras everywhere"; "Because of bad comments, clients have canceled services, so if the clients don't dirty their house, we wouldn't have work," some commented.
