"Everything is destroyed, how painful!": Cuban from Florida after visiting her hometown Guanabo

"I was born and raised in Guanabo."


A Cuban who recently visited the island has moved many with a video that shows the devastation in Guanabo, Cuba.

During her recent visit, La Thaly (@thaly47216 on the network) shared a video filming as she tours her hometown in a car.

"My dear Guanabo, you are destroyed. For everyone who doesn't know me, I was born and raised in Guanabo," she received on the video that has generated comments filled with nostalgia and sadness among those who also have memories of this place.

"That's communism"; "My family is from Guanabo, it's been many years since I went, but I remember it as if I had gone yesterday, when they arrived at the roundabout I shouted now El Servi is coming, my cousin worked there for many years, all that journey made me remember many things because I went there from a very young age year after year"; "It's sad but it's my Guanabo; also born and raised there, Reparto Bellomonte, let's go!!"; "I went and wanted to return the second day"; "All of Cuba is like this, I came with a lot of pain"; "Everything is destroyed"; "How beautiful it was and Santa María too, sad reality"; "A triste is in ruins"; "How sad to see the country like this, let's see when I arrive," is read among the nostalgic and emotional reactions.

"Sadly yes, and that's without me continuing to record. Anyone who knew Guanabo and sees it now, for God's sake, it's a disaster, trash in the streets making it hard to pass by. In short, all of Cuba is destroyed," commented the young woman who lives in Orlando in response to a user’s comment lamenting that Cuba was completely destroyed.
