A Cuban and his partner are being investigated for organizing clandestine parties in an occupied mansion in Spain, after one of these events ended in the murder of a man over the weekend.

The incident occurred in a luxury mansion that previously belonged to a soccer player in a neighborhood known as Paraíso, where the Cuban organized clandestine parties and charged admission, reported Diario Sur.

The last event this Monday ended in tragedy with the death of a 34-year-old Belgian man, who died after receiving a gunshot to the chest.

The Cuban declared on a television program that the parties were private and that he is the legitimate owner of the house, although police sources indicate that the property actually belongs to a company and is considered occupied.

The National Police has taken over the investigation of the case, and as of Tuesday morning, no arrests related to the incident, reported at 8:55 on Monday, August 12, had been made.

A call to emergency services reported that shots had been heard and there was at least one injured. However, upon arrival, the agents found the victim in a pool of blood, and despite efforts to revive her, the gunshot turned out to be fatal.

The body was transferred to a hospital for radiological tests and then to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Málaga for the autopsy.

The investigation focuses on clarifying the circumstances of the crime and apprehending the shooter.

A comprehensive security device has been established around the residence, including thorough inspections of the site and neighboring houses, looking for possible recordings of the crime on security cameras.

These types of events became popular during the Covid-19 pandemic, and this is not the first time they have ended in violence. In March 2021, a DJ known as JM Ares was killed under similar circumstances at an illegal party in Marbella.

The Prosecutor's Office requested nine years of prison for the accused of that homicide, describing that it occurred at a party with more than 35 people dancing to loud music, and that the accused, to draw attention, shot at the ceiling, resulting in the death of the DJ.

In 2021, it became known that networks of Cubans were dedicated to occupying luxury apartments and chalets in cities in Spain such as Marbella, a city famous for the number of millionaires who have second homes there.
