A woman of Cuban nationality died last Friday in Liverpool Lane, Kentucky, due to multiple gunshots from her partner, also a man of Cuban nationality, according to reports from local press and confirmations on social media.
The woman, identified as Yailyn Casales, lived in a small apartment in the mentioned neighborhood of Bon Air, along with her young son, the police reported.
Casales was found after 5:00 a.m. by members of the Louisville Metropolitan Police Department with two gunshot wounds.
That same day, around 1:00 p.m., the man was seen lurking in the area, and when the report was made, he fled from the authorities, who became engaged in a chase.
"When they arrived here, they were able to locate the suspect, and while he was fleeing, he decided to take his own life by firing a weapon," said Major Russell Miller to the press outlet WLKY.
The authorities had not confirmed the relationship between the two deceased, however, a report on Facebook helped to link them.
According to a user on the social network, the crime occurred in front of the minor, who was the child of both.
Regarding the minor, the police said that he was "taken to a safe place without suffering any injuries."
Friends of the young woman reacted on Facebook upon learning the news, wishing her to rest in peace.
At the beginning of August, a 32-year-old Cuban woman identified as Indira Almaguer was stabbed to death in the city of Louisville, Kentucky, by her ex-partner, Marcelino Fonseca, who is also Cuban.
Upon arriving at the scene, the police found a woman inside who had been the victim of several knife attacks, 17 stab wounds, according to a family source of the deceased who confirmed on social media that the murderer had savagely attacked Indira.
