Lianet's body was found in a garbage tank in Old Havana.

Friends and family of the victim have shared heartfelt messages on social media and are calling for justice.

A close friend revealed in a testimony that Lianet was not only strangled but also beaten and mutilated.

The alleged murderer, who was the victim's partner, has been arrested and is currently in prison, he emphasized.

"I hope you never go out and that you feel so much pain that you end up taking your own life," expressed Lianet's friend in a public message.

Rayti Ray, Freestyle rapper and close to the young woman, dedicated an emotional message in which he recalled that at her young age she overcame "with great difficulty your depression and your anxieties... you moved forward, you showed that you can shine and smile again... and when everything seemed bright... they turned it off for you... Baby, rest in peace my white paper-colored girl, I refuse to believe anything that tells me you are no longer here, but if you are not here, I will hold on to the smiles, the chats, the hugs, knowing that I had nothing left to say to you," he expressed.

Núñez was last seen the night before her disappearance, and the last communication she had was with her partner via WhatsApp. Her cell phone was turned off or out of coverage area, but it was one of the last traces before her disappearance.

This crime adds to an alarming statistic of violence on the island, where at least 35 femicides have been confirmed so far this year.
