A Latina residing in Houston shared on TikTok the monthly expenses of her household, breaking down what she pays for rent and utilities.
Valentina, who identifies as @valentinaen_usa on TikTok and is a content creator from Colombia, says that renting her one-bedroom apartment, which has a bathroom and furnished kitchen, costs them 1,200 dollars a month. The rent includes a washer, dryer, and water service, but they pay between 80 and 120 dollars for electricity.
Apart from rent, one of the most significant expenses mentioned is the car insurance, which amounts to 230 dollars per month. In his case, this amount represents a fixed monthly expense that adds to the other necessary services for his lifestyle.
Finally, he also broke down the cost of communications, mentioning that they pay 150 dollars for two mobile phone lines and internet service at home. Adding these services, the couple spends over 1,700 dollars monthly just on rent and basic expenses.
