Lionel Messi has an incalculable legion of followers, but a small fan has managed to touch social media with a wish that came from the depths of her heart.
Salma is the name of the Cuban girl who began to cry with strong emotion while telling her mom: "I want to see Messi."
The mother, who along with her husband are digital creators, uploaded the video to her Instagram, and when Inter Miami, the team where La Pulga plays, shared it on their official account, it quickly went viral.
“Why do you want to see Messi?” the mother asks Sama, and the girl, unable to hold back her tears any longer, replies: “I am his fan, and I want to see.”
"It's our daughter and her name is Salma. She wants to meet Messi and is closer to fulfilling her dream thanks to Inter Miami for sharing the video," wrote the mom in the comments on the team's post.
Inter assures that Messi will be back this coming Saturday, after recovering from the physical issues he had this summer.
However, what many are now asking is whether little Salma will have the opportunity to fulfill her dream of meeting her idol.
