Amid the intense blackouts that Cubans have been experiencing in recent days, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz can only say that people should not lose their spirit.
Marrero visited the municipality of Gibara, in Holguín, on Friday, where he reiterated the worn-out discourse of the regime about "creative alternatives" and "new projects," and called on the residents to "do a little more with what we have."
"It is appreciated, despite the difficulties, the challenges, the problems we have with electricity and fuel, that we are already finding solutions; the spirit is not lost," he said.
"Alternative solutions are being sought, new things are being done, we are not stagnant, we are moving forward, and I think the population recognizes this and that reaffirms our commitment," he emphasized.
Cuba is going through a moment when the lack of fuel and electricity generation, combined with food shortages and the deterioration of services, is keeping the people in the worst crisis of their history.
Despite this, their leaders insist that solutions are being sought to improve the quality of life for the citizens, based on the supposed "unity" of the people.
"We have to take care of unity like the apple of our eye...", he emphasized.
