Does the American dream destroy romantic relationships? Latina in the USA sparks debate on TikTok.

"Give money and power to a person, and that is when you truly get to know them," is read among the reactions to his video.

A young Latina, L. Dianis, has sparked reactions on TikTok with a video that is generating all kinds of comments. According to her, many couples who migrate to the United States do not survive because, when things start to go well for one of them, people become selfish. To illustrate this, she shared the story of a friend who arrived in the country with her husband with the dream of saving and moving forward together, but the reality was different.

Her friend's husband quickly got a good job in construction, earning a lot of money, while it became more difficult for her to find a well-paying job. Still, they shared expenses equally, until one day she lost her job and things got ugly. He started to distance himself and complain that he had to pay for everything, until one day he disappeared without saying anything, leaving her with the bills and later finding out that he was already living with someone else.

Reactions came quickly. "That's why no to the 50/50," commented one user, while another pointed out: "The guy already had someone else; he was just looking for an excuse." Another comment was more direct: "Give money and power to a person, and that's when you really get to know them." Some believe that money was just an excuse to leave her, while others see this story as a clear example that migrating as a couple doesn't always go well.

What is clear is that the video has sparked a heated debate about the role of money in romantic relationships, especially when migrating to a new country. Does money change people? Does the American dream destroy relationships? The discussion is intense!

What do you think?
