The representation team of the popular Cuban reggaeton artist José Manuel Carbajal, El Taiger, announced this Tuesday that the artist's followers will be able to say goodbye to him next Saturday at the Catholic Church of San Lázaro, in the city of Hialeah.
In a statement posted on the musician's Instagram - who passed away last Thursday after being shot in the head - it is stated that the memorial service will be public and will begin on Saturday, October 19 at 1:30 pm.
"This will be a moment for all of us to gather and celebrate the life, legacy, and contributions of José Manuel Carbajal," emphasizes the note.
It clarifies that there will be a strict dress code, and loud music or candles will not be allowed. Total silence will also be requested during the ceremony.
At the end of the message, there is a reiteration of the call to keep the legacy of El Taiger alive, one of the most important reggaeton artists on the island, and to remember the impact he had on the Cuban community.
The church is located at 4400 W 18th Ave, Hialeah, FL 33012.
Previously, the singer Jorge Junior, director of the group Los 4 and cousin of El Taiger, had shared initial details about the reggaeton artist's funeral in Miami on his social media.
According to their statements, the family is still finalizing the last legal matters.
The announcement comes just a few days after Jorge Junior arrived in Miami with the aim of collecting the ashes of El Taiger, following the unfortunate passing of the popular and beloved Cuban reggaeton artist.
In another official statement issued by El Taiger's team, gratitude was expressed towards the singer's followers and friends for their support during this difficult time.
They also confirmed that they are working with local and religious authorities in Miami to provide a space where fans can pay tribute to the singer.
The artist will be cremated. His ashes will be transported by Jorge Junior to Havana, so he can rest in peace alongside his mother.
