El Chacal paid an emotional tribute to El Taiger during his concert in Kentucky by singing one of the musical hits they performed together, "Papelito."

"I can't start this show without doing the right thing, and I want to dedicate the first song to someone who was not only my colleague, but I am aware that there was a lot of affection because of all those years seeing each other in the studio, sharing, celebrating, seeing each other on tours; I cannot allow myself the pleasure of doing the show tonight without the first song being the one I am going to sing, but I want to do it in a beautiful way, because even though he is no longer physically with us, I know that he remains and will remain in our minds and in our hearts," El Chacal began to say.

"He left behind too much musical legacy, and today we have already cried for him, we have already felt it, but I want to remember him this way. May God have José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar, El Taiger, in holy glory. May God take care of him, blessings for his family in these moments," he added just before the first chords of this song began to play.

With a smile and visibly moved at the same time, El Chacal allowed the voice of El Taiger to be heard, while in the background on the stage, the music video they both made for this song was visible.

El Chacal asked the audience to sing the song in unison, and when it was his turn, the emotion of the moment prevented him from singing.

"Sing it for them so they can hear it up there," he tells everyone present who was singing the song from beginning to end in unison.

El Taiger released the remix of "Papelito" with El Chacal in December 2022, and the music video on YouTube has more than 19 million views.
