5 practical tips for living in the U.S. according to a Cuban on TikTok.

"8 hours is the minimum you will have to work, between 8, 10, 12, and even 16 hours; so, invest in a good pair of shoes."

Cuban Dianeyis G (@lovedychic) has shared a video on TikTok with five essential tips for those considering moving to the United States or who are already in the country.

With a practical approach and from his own experience, he detailed some aspects where he believes it is necessary to invest to facilitate adaptation to life in the U.S.

The first piece of advice Dianeyis offers is the importance of buying a good pair of shoes, especially for those who have to work long hours on their feet. "You will have to work at least 8 hours a day, and that is very tiring, especially for those of us who are not adapted," she explained, mentioning that feet tend to swell and become covered in blisters. She also recommended buying shoes one size larger for added comfort.

The second piece of advice shared by @lovedychic is to invest in a good mattress. According to her, resting well is essential to perform the next day at work. "It doesn't matter if it’s expensive, get yourself a good mattress. You need to sleep well so you're not walking around like a zombie the next day," she said, showing the mattress she bought at Costco for $900.

The third key point is to learn to drive and obtain a reliable car. "Taking the bus is not easy; the buses don't have a secure route to get to work," said Dianeyis, explaining that employers value people who have their own transportation. She advised learning to drive as soon as possible and looking for a car that won't leave them stranded. In her case, she bought a second-hand car that has proven to be safe and reliable.

The fourth piece of advice is one of the most important for @lovedychic: invest in learning English. The creator pointed out that mastering the language helps to secure better jobs and avoid the tougher ones. "The better you master English, the less you will have to do heavy jobs, and you will be able to work less for more money," she asserted.

With these five practical tips, Dianeyis G hopes that others can make an easier transition when moving to the United States and starting a new life in the country.
