As of October 24, both the dollar and the euro remain valued at the same rates they have held for several days: 325 for the dollar and 340 for the euro, according to the monitoring conducted by the independent media outlet elTOQUE on currency fluctuations.
The limited activity in the informal market stands out amid an increasingly tense economic climate and the reality of a paralyzed economy. This Wednesday, the Cuban government extended the suspension of classes at all levels and non-essential work activities until October 27.
