The publication urges drivers to remain vigilant to prevent unfortunate incidents, such as the one that occurred on the central Trocha Street in Santiago de Cuba, which claimed the life of Luis Enrique Monier Martínez, a man who was riding his bicycle when he was struck by a Soviet-made Moskvitch car.

The accident, reported a few days ago, resulted in the death of Monier, who was urgently transferred to the Joaquín Castillo Duany Military Hospital, near the site of the incident.

One day prior, a motorcycle collided with a garbage truck in the city of Santiago de Cuba, leaving two people injured, who were taken to a hospital.

A preliminary report from communicator Yosmany Mayeta Labrada stated that the accident occurred around noon on the busy Las Américas avenue, near the Santiago hotel, "when a motorcycle with a passenger behind collided with a garbage truck in the area."

Last week, a CUPET truck transporting gas cylinders collided with a car and ended up overturned this Wednesday, because the traffic light at a busy intersection in Vedado, Havana was not functioning.

Similarly, a bus from the Chinese manufacturer Yutong crashed into a streetlight pole in Havana last Monday, in an incident that resulted in no injuries or fatalities, only minor damage to the vehicle and to the battered electrical infrastructure of the capital.

"A few minutes ago, a blue Yutong (I think it belongs to those that serve the military) crashed into a metal pole on the divider of 25th Street, between the exit to Playa and the detour towards the Genetics Institute, at the border between the municipalities of Playa and Marianao. Only material damage is visible. I didn’t take photos because I was on a motorcycle and it was raining," reported a social media user.
