For the second consecutive day, the euro is the only one of the three reference currencies in the Cuban informal market that starts the day with changes.
This Tuesday, the euro opens with a slight decline in its average selling value, dropping from 345 to 342.5 CUP.
In the case of the dollar and the freely convertible currency (MLC), both currencies remain valued at the same rates they have held for several days: 325 for the dollar and 340 for the virtual currency used by the Cuban government in certain designated stores.
The median values reported by the independent outlet elTOQUE suggest that the European currency may experience new fluctuations in the coming hours.
