A Cuban walks on the roof of a bus full of passengers in Havana

It happened on Route 37, and some believe it may have been under the influence of the drug known as "the chemical."

A perplexing video is circulating on social media showing a man walking on the roof of a passenger bus in Havana, specifically on top of a bus from route 37.

In the images, dozens of people can be heard shouting at the individual to get down, while some merely recorded the incident.

In the video, the man can be seen walking from one place to another with great nervousness, even touching the wires of the power lines.

At one point, when a witness was attempting to board the bus to intervene in the situation, the individual exited through the back of the vehicle and ran towards a patrol car that had arrived at the scene.

The most surprising thing is that he himself got into the police car through a window. It is not clear how the incident ended, although presumably, the PNR officers took the individual into custody.

"Look at this, gentlemen, until the end, what is this, man? What is this? Look at how the 'kimiko' is handling the people [...] This man was walking and got on top of the bus," wrote a witness on Facebook who shared a video of the moment.

One of the videos that has gone viral on social media does not capture many details of what happened once the police arrived, which has sparked a lot of criticism towards the person who recorded it.

In any case, the commotion was significant, and many are wondering how the man managed to get on the bus, something he presumably did at some stop.

Another post from the Facebook group Transportación Habana TH specified that the unusual incident occurred on bus 5229 of the mentioned route 37.

According to the report, "the small incident" occurred when a citizen who "was under the influence" climbed on top of the bus. The publication added that "the event is under investigation."

Despite both publications assuming that it involves a drugged man, some believe it may actually be related to a citizen with mental health issues.

Among the comments generated by the incident, many have questioned whether it is a reaction to the drug known as "the chemical," as the behavior of the man in the images does not align with what has often been observed in recent months among young people using the dangerous synthetic drug that is significantly affecting Cuban society.

"My respect, but 'the chemist' doesn't let you move, don't speak based on hearsay," opined a user.

"Similarly, I have seen several kids under the influence of that drug, and it just makes them foolish. That kid must be out of his mind, some sort of madness, poor thing," pointed out another commentator.

Others lamented the increasingly incredible situations emerging in Cuba, a society facing the greatest crisis of the past few decades.

"I don't know what's more impressive, the roof of the bus or the bus actually working," an internet user remarked ironically.

As of the closing of this report, there are no other confirmed details about what happened.
