UFC fighter Jon Jones surprises Donald Trump with a "gift" and mimics his dance

The elected president of the United States didn't want to miss the UFC event held in New York.

Saturday night at Madison Square Garden in New York hosted a memorable event, not only for mixed martial arts fans but also for the supporters of the elected president of the United States, Donald Trump.

The UFC 309 event not only stood out for Jon Jones's decisive victory over Stipe Miocic, but also for an unexpected moment: his imitation of the distinctive dance of the Republican politician to celebrate his win.

The symbolic moment was followed by Jones presenting the championship belt to Trump.

A standing ovation for Trump and a star-studded event.

Trump, accompanied by Elon Musk, Dana White, and other members of his elected cabinet such as Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard, received a warm welcome upon entering the venue.

The crowd chanted "USA, USA!" as the elected president greeted them with his signature fist raised. Throughout the night, Trump was cheered on multiple occasions.

The elected president enjoyed the show from the front row, flanked by Tesla CEO Elon Musk and UFC president Dana White. Additionally, figures like podcaster Joe Rogan and country singer Jelly Roll shared brief moments with him.

Jon Jones dominates in the octagon and pays tribute to Trump.

The main event of the night featured the showdown between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic, a clash that once again cemented Jones's status as one of the greatest fighters in UFC history.

Jones defeated Miocic with an impressive technical knockout in the third round, finishing his performance with a spinning kick to the former champion's stomach that left him incapacitated.

After securing his 29th victory in 30 fights, Jon Jones celebrated in a special way. During his post-fight interview, he imitated Donald Trump's iconic dance and expressed his pride in being American and Christian, also thanking the elected president for his presence.

"I want to express my deep gratitude to President Trump for being here tonight. What do you think of my version of Donald Trump's dance? USA, USA, USA!" he declared amid cheers from the crowd.

A symbolic gesture and a viral moment

The night took an unexpected turn when Jones stepped out of the octagon to greet Trump and symbolically handed him his championship belt as a sign of respect.

The relationship between Trump and the UFC is not new. For decades, the elected president has been a regular follower of mixed martial arts, attending numerous events and maintaining a close relationship with Dana White, who described him as "the toughest and most resilient human being I have ever known in my entire life."

After the victory, Jones made it clear that his career is far from over, and he is already eyeing potential matchups with figures like Tom Aspinall or Alex Pereira.
