Glenda Neninger Alom, a Cuban resident of Unión de Reyes, Matanzas, has turned to social media for assistance in locating her brother, Brian Jesús Hernández Alom, who she stated arrived in Russia on November 14 but had an accident and has since lost contact with him.
The woman stated that the family understands that Brian Jesús "fell from a building."
"What we know so far is that he is hospitalized in some hospital in Kotelniki, but no one can provide us with any information about him or which hospital he might be in," he explained.
The woman explained that they have not had any news since the night of November 17.
"Here in Cuba, the family is desperate because we haven't heard anything for three days, and no one knows anything. Please, if anyone knows something or has seen him, let us know," concluded Glenda Neninger Alom in a post made on November 20 in the Facebook group Cubanos en Moscú.
Brian de Jesús Hernández's sister did not provide any further details about the circumstances surrounding her brother's fall from a building, nor any specifics regarding the strange incident.
Kotelniki, the city where the migrant is reportedly hospitalized, is located about 22 km southeast of downtown Moscow.
In the comments section, several internet users urged the woman to contact the Cuban Embassy in Russia.
"Normally, they are informed about any events related to Cubans in Russian territory," a woman pointed out.
Another user in the group specified that the email address for the Cuban embassy in Russia is viceconsul1@ru.embacuba.cu.
"Write to the embassy so they can get in touch with the hospitals," recommended another commenter.
A fourth internet user referred to a church in Moscow called "Zarza Ardiente," which found a boy in a hospital last week, and asked Glenda to update the group as soon as she has news about her brother.
As of the publication of this note, there are no further details regarding the case.
